Racer X

Welcome to Racer X Distance Club.  Racer X joined forces with Enhanced Sports Performance in October of 2017

Racer X Distance Club is a Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) affiliated team based in Wylie, TX that focuses on developing elementary school aged athletes

The focus of Racer X is to teach athletes:

  • Proper running form
  • Running techniques
  • Components of the 400 meter track
  • Track Etiquette
  • Planning, setting and achieving goals

About the Coach

Danny Monistere is the head coach and has been a runner for over 40 years.  In addition to local races, he competes as a USA Track & Field Masters athlete and was a collegiate track and cross country athlete at Southeastern Louisiana University.   A little history:

  • First Race – Hammond Square 2-miler (February 5, 1977)
  • Hammond High Track & Field (Louisiana – 1981 – 1983)
  • Hammond High Cross-Country (Louisiana – 1981-82)
  • Southeastern Louisiana University Cross-Country (1983 – 1984)
  • Southeastern Louisiana University Track & Field (1984)
  • Pegasus Track & Field, Distance Coach (Ft. Lauderdale, FL – 1991 – 1992)
  • Louisiana Track & Field, Distance Coach (Hammond, LA – 1992 – 1994)
  • Racer X Distance Club, Head Coach (Wylie, TX – 2017 – present)
