SAMSUNG

I was undersized and I knew that I was going to be a late bloomer. In case you can’t tell, in the picture below that is me wearing  8, surrounded by what felt like giants.

In one month I gained eleven pounds of muscle and shaved a second off of my 60 yard dash. The PED’s were fun and they worked! I would not have made the high school baseball team without this program!

I cant say I love the PEN’s, because it is hard for me to eat that much, but I know Food is medicine and I have to fuel my body.  To be fair guys, I happen to have the undivided attention of the best coach at ESP, because the founder and CEO of Enhanced Sports Performance is my dad.

He told me that genetically I wouldn’t likely be much taller than 5 foot 8, as he is 5 foot 6. They can measure my height, but they cant measure my heart, or the knowledge that ESP has given me.                                                                    – Cooper Monistere – 16 years old

dakota fuzzyMy name is Dakota Punzel I am a 1st Dan degree black belt and I have trained at, and later became an owner operator of an Ultimate Martial Arts Dojo. I had the privilege to train as Sensei Don’s Uchi Deshi.

An Uchi-deshi is a Japanese term for a live-in student/apprentice who trains under and assists a sensei on a full-time basis. The system exists in kabuki, rakugo, shogi, igo, aikido, sumo, karate and other modern Japanese martial arts.

While I knew that I was learning how to become a martial artist, the impact that Sensei Don’s system of training was nothing short of amazing.  I not only trained and taught, I fought! Not points sparring! God no! We fought until someone was knocked out of the bout.

It takes courage and conditioning to stand toe to toe with another man who is trying to do you harm.  Sensei and his Enhanced Sports Performance program taught me how to get the most from my body and my mind.  Most people don’t realize that the natural Dakota 1response that the body has to a fight is to flea.

Training that natural freight/flight response to remain calm and move forward when your brain is telling you to move back is a skill that has to be taught and you as an athlete have to be willing to learn.

My time at Ultimate Martial Arts and the utilization of the Enhanced Sports Performance program allowed me to compete at a very high level.  I later was able to teach using the same methods of instruction that Sensei Don used and  it has changed the way I approach everything in life.

Currently I am attending Troy University and will soon be able to take what I have learned from Sensei’s program as well as the formal training at Troy and apply it to sport as well as my professional career.  So much of the process is about the way that we prepare, not just the way that we execute!                                         – Dakota Punzel – 21 years old
