PED’s – Drills

Personal TrainingNo — it’s not what you think.  Our membership base often tell me that our Performance Enhancing Drills worked to unlock their athletic potentials. You may have seen many of these drills before, and many of them are more sport- and athlete-specific. However, I can promise you this: how we approach these drills and their execution is the secret to what we do here at ESP.

In fact, anyone who creates a training regimen that utilizes the same drills that a “star” athlete might use really isn’t keeping their athlete’s best interest at heart.  How do I know?  I have been through it firsthand and have dealt with it with my own children.

My boys are 3 years apart and couldn’t be any more different when it comes to training: what worked for one did not work for the other.  Although their “genetics” were the same, their body types, basal metabolic rate, rate of recovery, and proportion of fast and slow twitch muscles were completely different.

There are too many things that go into creating a precise training plan, and the drills that we do are no different.  Sport specific muscle memory creation is the cornerstone of unlocking the body’s potential, and your training should keep this in mind.  It should be deliberate, even–dare I say– prescriptive. Once you join ESP, we will send you a login to the Your Sport Total Coaching Software application and access to the Athlete’s Profile Long Form.  Once we have this information, we will begin creating the plan for you!  We will be gathering information that includes:
